This is the easiest job on the XA40 RAV4 and needs essentially no tools. Both front arms use a standard hook (J-hook) end: lift the arm, press the tab on the connector, slide the blade off the hook, slide the new one on until it clicks. The driver side takes a 26 inch blade, the passenger side a 16 inch, and the liftgate has its own shorter blade with a different clip.
Two things trip people up. First, reversing the blades - a 26 inch blade on the passenger arm will crash into the cowl or the other blade at full sweep. Second, letting the bare arm snap back onto the glass while the old blade is off, which is a common way to chip a windshield; lay a towel over the glass before you start. If the blades still chatter afterward, the glass is usually the problem, not the blade - clean it and wipe the new rubber with alcohol.
