On the XA40 RAV4 this is one of the easier maintenance jobs. There is no bleeder screw and no thermostat housing to open: you drop the lower splash shield with a 10 mm socket, open the plastic drain cock on the driver's side of the radiator, and refill through the radiator neck with Toyota's premixed pink Super Long Life Coolant. Budget most of your time for the burp, not the drain.
All US-market gas XA40s use the same 2.5L 2AR-FE, so sizes do not change across 2013-2018; only the front underbody shield layout was mildly revised with the 2016 facelift.
