Refund policy

Short version: if you bought credits in the last 30 days and haven't used them, email us and we'll refund the unused credits.

How credits work

WhatWrench sells credits in packs (5, 20 or 100). A tool list uses 1 credit; a store check uses 2. Credits don't expire and there is no subscription, so you are never charged again unless you buy another pack.

What we refund

Unused pack, within 30 days of purchase: full refund.
Partly used pack, within 30 days: we refund the unused credits at the price you paid per credit. For example, if you used 2 credits from a $4.99 pack of 5, we refund 3/5 of $4.99, which is $2.99.
Used credits and purchases more than 30 days old can't be refunded, because each tool list costs us money to generate.
If a tool list failed to generate, the credit is returned to your account automatically. If it wasn't, tell us and we'll fix it.

How to ask for a refund

Email [email protected] from the address on your account, or include that address. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5 to 10 business days of our approval. The refunded credits are removed from your account at the same time.

If something went wrong, please contact us before disputing the charge with your bank. We can almost always sort it out faster.
