On the E170 Corolla, Toyota went with a plastic cartridge filter housing on the front of the engine instead of a spin-on can. That means you need one specific tool: a 64.5 mm, 14-flute cup wrench. Everything else is a standard oil change: 14 mm drain plug, roughly 4.4 quarts of 0W-20, and a maintenance light reset with the trip button.
The thing people get wrong is the filter housing. Skip the small internal drain plug and you dump a cup of hot oil down your arm when the cap comes off, and reusing the old large O-ring almost guarantees a slow leak. Torque the cap to 18 ft-lb and no more; it is plastic and it will crack.

All 2014-2019 North American Corollas use the 1.8L 2ZR-FE or the Eco 2ZR-FAE with Valvematic, and both take the same 14 mm drain plug, same 64.5 mm 14-flute cartridge filter cap and 0W-20 oil. The 14 mm drain plug, 64.5 mm 14-flute filter cap, 0W-20 oil and 4.4 qt capacity are correct for all US 2014-2019 Corolla 1.8L models; confirm capacity and torque against your owner's manual, especially for non-US variants.
4.4 US quarts (4.2 liters) with a filter change. Add about 4.2 quarts first, then check the dipstick and top up to the full mark.

Toyota specifies 0W-20 for the 2ZR engines and it is what the variable valve timing system is calibrated for. 5W-30 can be used as a temporary top-up in an emergency, but go back to 0W-20 at the next change.
