On the 10th-gen Civic the low beam is a plain H11 halogen bulb, but Honda left almost no room behind the housing. The passenger side is usually doable by feel from the engine bay; the driver side is blocked by the air intake duct and airbox, so most people loosen the duct first or just unbolt the whole headlight (three 10 mm bolts, plus fender-liner and bumper-corner clips) and do the swap on the bench in five minutes.
The mistake people make is buying a bulb before checking their trim. Si and Touring from 2016, and EX and above from the 2019 refresh, use sealed LED projectors with no replaceable bulb - if one of those is dark, it is the assembly or its driver, not a bulb. The second mistake is grabbing the new halogen bulb by the glass, which puts a fingerprint hot spot on it and kills it in weeks.

Bulb type and tool sizes are the same for the 2.0 K20C2 and 1.5 turbo L15B7. The difference is packaging: on the 1.5T the intake plumbing and charge piping crowd the driver-side headlight more, so expect to remove the intake duct bracket with the 10 mm socket, while 2.0 cars often allow bare-hand access.

H11 low beam / 9005 high beam and the 10 mm headlight mounting bolts are correct for halogen-equipped 2016-2021 Civics, but confirm your trim actually has halogen bulbs and check the bulb number printed on the old bulb base before buying.
Halogen-equipped trims (LX, and EX/EX-T on 2016-2018, LX/Sport on 2019-2021) use an H11 55W bulb for the low beam and a 9005/HB3 for the high beam. Check the number molded into the base of the old bulb to be sure.
On the passenger side, usually yes - reach behind the outer end of the housing from the engine bay. On the driver side most people have to loosen the intake duct, and many find removing the headlight (three 10 mm bolts plus fender liner clips) is actually faster than fighting the tight space.
Those housings are sealed LED units with no serviceable bulb. A dark LED low beam usually means a failed LED module or driver, which means replacing the whole headlight assembly - typically $500-900 at a shop.
No. The reflector is designed for a halogen filament, so an LED bulb scatters light, ruins the beam cutoff, and blinds oncoming traffic. It is also not DOT-legal for road use in most states.
